ModusHub.net is an online earning platform that requires users to pay a UGX 20,000 activation fee before accessing earning activities.
The platform promises daily earnings of UGX 30,000–150,000+ through simple online tasks.
DON’T BE A VICTIM!
Website: modushub.net
Actual signup (backend): Stateflix
WhatsApp channel: ModusHub WhatsApp Channel
TikTok promoters: @mentorpowerz /@mentorphiphi
THEIR CLAIMS
- Users can allegedly earn between UGX 30,000 and UGX 150,000+ per day using only a mobile phone.
- It claims the activation payment is made once for life and assures users that it is not a site that will vanish with people’s money.
- The platform also claims that chats and advertisers are screened and that sensitive personal information is not collected.
HOW IT WORKS
- Users first visit the site net
- The site’s Start Earning, Join Chat, and Create Account buttons redirect users to Stateflix, where the actual registration process takes place.
- Users are required to register using personal details, including their name, email address and phone number.
- After registration, users are asked to pay a one-time activation fee, reportedly UGX 20,000 through MTN or Airtel Mobile Money. This appears inconsistent with the ModusHub claims that participation requires “no investment” and is “completely free.”
- Once activated, users are told they can earn money through activities such as chatting with foreigners, watching videos, listening to music, playing games, answering quizzes, clicking advertisements and spinning a daily reward wheel. The platform also advertises Mobile Money withdrawals, with a claimed minimum withdrawal of UGX 10,000.
- The same site also promotes instant loans ranging from UGX 50,000 to UGX 500,000, which are reportedly expected to be repaid using earnings generated through the platform.
FACT CHECK
- ModuHub.net appears to function primarily as a promotional site (dummy site) directing users to Stateflix, where registration and activation take place.
- The “No investment” claim conflicts with the one-time activation fee before accessing the earning features.
- The information reviewed does not clearly identify a registered business name, directors, physical office or relevant license behind the operation.
- There is no evidence presented to verify the advertised daily earnings or claims of large and consistent Mobile Money payouts.
- The whole program resembles an investment scam, where users pay an upfront fee before accessing tasks and anticipated withdrawals but end up getting no returns.
BE CAUTIOUS!
- Some users complain that after paying the activation fee, their accounts or earning activities stop functioning as expected.
- Tasks involving chats, videos and music are inconsistent, with complaints that some reset, fail or are unavailable on certain days.
- There are claims of accounts freezing after payment, while any form of assistance appears to rely heavily on WhatsApp and TikTok promoters rather than a clearly identified company support structure.
- TikTok promoters, including @mentorpowerz and @mentorphiphi, promote registration, activation and referrals. Users should understand the financial risk before paying, money to ventures where refund arrangements are unclear.
- The advertised instant loans could introduce additional financial risk if users take on repayment obligations while depending on uncertain platform earnings.
- Promotional features such as live withdrawal and testimonials should not be treated as proof that advertised earnings or withdrawals are genuine, these platforms usually create their own types of withdrawal or just move around the same withdraw reference but change the name on the receipts.
PRACTICAL ADVICE
- Potential users should independently verify the company, its registration, payment arrangements and withdrawal history before sending money.
- Avoid paying additional fees to unlock, verify, or speed up withdrawals, and never provide promoters with your Mobile Money PIN or OTP.
- Anyone experiencing payment or withdrawal problems should avoid sending further funds and preserve transaction records, screenshots and communications for possible reporting to authorities.
