Exposing Fraudulent Schemes and Scams in Uganda

NUBIA INVESTMENTS targets Ugandans with Fake Investment Scheme

Nubia Investment is a scam platform targeting people in Uganda with fake online investment opportunities, often linked to crypto or high-return schemes.

Online investment scam that promises attractive returns through purported trading or investment activities.

DON’T BE A VICTIM!

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

It is frequently listed alongside other known Ugandan investment scams such as Hut8, Hilton, Shokz, and Any Wheels.

Promoters on TikTok encourage people to invest, showing supposed profits or successful withdrawals.

Like similar platforms, balances may appear to grow, but actual withdrawals are often blocked or require additional payments.

Once the platform closes or stops responding, investors usually lose their money with no recovery option.

You have little to no real control over funds sent to these schemes.

HOW TO DETECT THEM

The platform is openly called out as a scam by multiple TikTok accounts warning the public.

Legitimate investment companies do not aggressively push high daily or short-term returns to the general public through social media.

Heavy use of testimonials, “successful withdrawal” videos, and referral pressure is a common red flag.

It appears in lists of fake apps and platforms that repeatedly target Ugandan crypto and forex communities.

PROTECT YOURSELF AND OTHERS

Do not invest money based on TikTok promotions or private messages promising high returns.

Avoid sharing personal or financial details with unverified investment platforms.

Research thoroughly and verify through trusted, independent sources before sending any money.

Report suspicious investment schemes and the related TikTok accounts to the relevant authorities.
