Exposing Fraudulent Schemes and Scams in Uganda

SHOKZ is not FREE MONEY

SHOKZ in Uganda is a scam platform that uses the name and logo of a real international company (known for headphones) to lure people into fake online investments.

Online investment scam that promises high daily returns through VIP packages and referral commissions.

DON’T BE A VICTIM!

 WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

They offer VIP investment packages with claims of high daily income over 365 days (for example, large total returns on small deposits).

They encourage recruitment of others with high invitation/referral commissions (up to 36%).

Withdrawal records often remain stuck on “Processing” for long periods, while small earlier withdrawals may show as successful to build trust.

Users publicly complain that their money stays on processing and question whether the platform is a scam.

Once the platform delays or stops withdrawals, people lose access to their funds with little chance of recovery.

You have zero real control over money sent to these schemes.

 HOW TO DETECT THEM

They copy the name and logo of a real well-known brand (SHOKZ).

Extremely high daily and long-term return promises that are unrealistic.

Heavy pressure to join WhatsApp groups (sometimes requiring a small payment) and recruit others.

Many user complaints about withdrawals remaining on “Processing.”

Legitimate companies do not offer such high fixed daily returns to the general public through TikTok and informal groups.

PROTECT YOURSELF AND OTHERS

Do not send money or pay any registration/activation fees based on social media promotions.

Avoid sharing personal or mobile-money details with unverified platforms.

Research thoroughly and verify through trusted sources before joining any investment scheme.

Report suspicious platforms, phone numbers, and promoters to the relevant authorities.
